Ronnie Fieg and the good folks at Kith are at it again with another stellar collaboration. These New Balance drop Friday June 22nd, and feature a solid color-palate of blues and greys. The release will also coincide with the release of the Kith x New Balance Apparel Capsule Collection. Kith’s blog can tell it better than I can so….
Here it is, the exclusive Ronnie Fieg x New Balance “Steel Blue” 999 sneakers. The final result is made with a mixed premium nubuck, pigskin suede and leather accented upper inspired by the popular New Balance 1300CL model. Details feature a debossed heel and tongue with New Balance branding, a soft leather tongue, ABZORB cushioning, “Just Us” written on the eyelets and the Kith logo imprinted on the insoles. Each pair comes with a Kith/New Balance leather hangtag and three pairs of laces in white, grey and ice. The release will be available in limited quantities at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn and online at KithNYC.com for $130 USD.
This Friday will also mark the release of the Kith x New Balance apparel capsule collection, which features hoodies, crewnecks, sweat shorts and sweatpants. Each piece is handmade in New York City using grey and blue french terry fabrics and includes Kith x New Balance branding, leather tagging and drawstring tightening on the shorts and pants. Check out the apparel lookbook here.
To mark the special release Kith NYC will have 100 handmade wooden boxes available on a first come first serve basis at both Kith NYC locations. The wooden box pack will be priced at $290 USD and contain the 999 “Steel Blue” shoes, the hoodie and the sweat shorts from the limited edition Kith x New Balance handsewn capsule collection. 50 boxes will be at Kith Manhattan and 50 boxes will be at Kith Brooklyn. The Sweatpants and Crewneck are priced at $90 USD each while the Hoodie and Sweat Shorts are only available in the limited box set.
Everything is produced in limited numbers and will be available for purchase Friday, June 22nd at 11am EST.
After looking at the pics, I get flashbacks of the classic New balance 1300′s that were popular while I was in High School many moons ago (and still are). Apparently this was no coincidence I learned after reading a feature article on the upcoming release in the latest edition of Sneaker Freaker Magazine.
As with most things we report on…if you want a pair be in line early, or be on a fast internet connection. So good luck…and since they release on Ronnie’s b-day we at N3rdlink wish you a pre-happy b-day Ronnie!
